The Writing Proficiency Test is intended for evaluating the proficiency level of a written Russian text based on a number of linguistic structures. It is based on the recognition of linguistic patterns through Deep Learning. Only the most commonly used levels A1-B2 are currently available.

This tool might be useful for instructors of Russian as a second language during preparation of pedagogical materials. In particular, it allows to determine if the text selected from outside sources (newspapers, internet) matches the students’ language level or is above (or below) the intended level.

This tool might also be of interest to anyone who is willing to test his or her level of written Russian.
